Principal Signal Designer - North West
Salary
Up to £70k depending on experience
My client requires an experienced Principal Signal designer to join an ever expanding Rail who is thriving through these tough economic conditions.
Role Description
You will be responsible for the day to day line management of allocated design staff, ensuring high quality robust two way communications with staff are maintained development of staff skills, providing or arranging appropriate mentoring and support. As a Principal Signal Designer it will be your responsibility to ensure delivery of allocated design projects to contract requirements and company standards as well as acting as Responsible Design Engineer for allocated projects, interfacing with clients and third parties as appropriate. You will be needed to co-operate with other design managers, project managers and planners to optimise utilisation and project delivery
Required Experience
The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge.
· excellent knowledge of signalling principles
· current knowledge of signalling design processes
· able to manage a team of design engineers
· committed to satisfying client and company requirements, including quality, technical excellence and design costs
Minimum qualifications
· IRSE Design License (1.1.130 / 1.1.150 D)
· An appropriate technical qualification
